The wind resource assessment (WRA) tower is still in place, and we now have about 3 years of wind data. This data helps us estimate the performance of the turbines we plan to build on the site.
Our land lease is secure and we have submited our Connection Impact Assessment with Haldimand County Hydro. PPC is continuing with its environmental screening, bird studies and bat monitoring.
As these studies move forward, PPC can participate in Ontario's Standard Offer Program. A standard Offer Contract guarantees that the Ontario Power Authority will purchase all of the power generated by the turbines over the next 20 years at a fixed price of 11 cents per kWh.
In addition to project sponsors, PPC is seeking community investment in the Lake Erie Project. PPC members invest in PPC bonds help to cover the cost of these studies and applications. You can become a member, buy a bond and build renewable energy in our community.
